Introduction
Antonmed HSV-1 & HSV-2 IgG/IgM Rapid Test Cassette is an in vitro diagnostic test designed for the qualitative detection of antibodies to Herpes Simplex Virus Type 1 (HSV-1) and Type 2 (HSV-2) in human specimens.
Based on lateral flow immunochromatographic technology, the test is designed to provide rapid and visually interpretable results without the need for a dedicated analyzer.
The cassette format integrates sample application and result interpretation into one test device, making it suitable for clinical diagnostic settings, point-of-care testing, healthcare providers and IVD product portfolios.
Antonmed also supports OEM and private-label solutions for qualified distributors, importers and diagnostic product brands.

How Does the HSV-1 & HSV-2 Test Work?
The test is based on a lateral flow immunochromatographic assay.
After the specimen is applied to the designated sample well, it migrates through the test membrane by capillary action.
If the target HSV antibodies are present in the specimen, they react with the corresponding test reagents and produce a visible signal in the designated test region.
The control line provides an internal procedural control and indicates that the test has functioned properly.
Depending on the specific product configuration, separate test regions may be provided for the different antibody classes and/or HSV types.
