Introduction
Antonmed TORCH IgG Test Cassette is a rapid in vitro diagnostic test designed for the qualitative detection of IgG antibodies associated with TORCH infections.
The test uses lateral flow chromatographic immunoassay technology to detect specific IgG antibodies in human specimens. The cassette format provides a simple testing procedure and visual result interpretation without the need for dedicated laboratory analyzers.
TORCH testing is commonly associated with a group of infections including Toxoplasma gondii, Rubella virus, Cytomegalovirus (CMV), and Herpes simplex virus (HSV). These infections are of particular clinical interest in maternal and fetal health.

Different TORCH assays may use different pathogen combinations or HSV configurations. For example, commercially available TORCH IgG assays include Toxoplasma, Rubella, CMV and HSV targets, while laboratory TORCH profiles may separately report HSV-1 and HSV-2 IgG.
For Antonmed: the final product page should list only the targets actually included in the validated product.

Result Interpretation
Positive
A visible control line together with a corresponding test line indicates that IgG antibodies against the relevant TORCH target have been detected according to the assay's interpretation criteria.
A positive IgG result indicates the presence of detectable antibodies. It should not be interpreted on its own as proof of an active or recent infection.
Negative
The control line is visible, while the relevant test line is not visible.
This indicates that the target IgG antibody was not detected at or above the assay's defined detection level at the time of testing.
A negative result does not necessarily exclude infection, particularly when testing is performed at an inappropriate stage of the immune response.
Invalid
If the control line does not appear, the test result is invalid. Repeat the test using a new cassette and follow the instructions for use.
